Electrical Safety Audit (ESA) which is also known as Electrical Risk Assessment and can be broadly classified and grouped into three categories:

- Review of Electrical System/Installation lightning protection system (need, adequacy, installation, and maintenance) as per IS 62305.
- Review of electrical accidents and near-misses in the Electrical System/Installation to identify the root causes.
- Review of electrical systems & procedures (work permits, interlocks, lockout tags, etc.).
