Structural stability certificate is a compulsory document required in municipalities’ bylaws of many states issued by a structural engineer after a thorough assessment of structure and its components. Authority of issuer & validity of structural stability certificate varies from region to region however few things remain common throughout the industry. Although issuing the certificate is at discretion of structural engineer yet he isn’t supposed to subjectively certify a structure as stable.
